i read that if you go on a crash diet, your body goes to a survival mode so that when you eat even a small amount of fat, the body stores it up immediately because it doesnt know when it will have its next meal, so i was wondering if the hoodia the pure cactus plant medicine which alters your brain presumption of being hungry does the same?
and any other side effects, like will it make you fat after you’ve done taking it? or can you stop taking it anytime?

Ria:
You are spot on about what happens when you come off a "crash diet," as you put it. Dieters often make the mistake of believing that starving themselves is the key to successful weight loss when in reality it does just the opposite!
When you deprive your body of calories, your body goes into starvation, or "survival mode." Your metabolism shuts down and your body is very reluctant to dip into its fat stores.
When you start eating normal again, your body is still stuck in survival mode – at least for a while – and so everything you eat tends to get stored as fat. That’s why people gain their weight back so fast after a diet – and why they tend to gain even more weight than they had before they started the diet!
If you take authentic hoodia gordonii, it *may* (and I say may because it doesn’t work for everyone) suppress your appetite. It essentially tricks your brain into thinking you are full. If you don’t get the minimum required calories your body needs because you’re full and don’t eat as much, then yes, you run the risk of your body going into survival mode when taking hoodia gordonii diet pills.
To prevent that from happening, you should still eat regular meals and snacks. The beauty of hoodia gordonii is that because it makes you feel full, you won’t eat as much as you’d normally eat.
It may also force you to think about the kinds of foods you are eating. Normally, when a person gets hungry they’ll satisfy their hunger with a high-fat, high-calorie meal or snack. When you take hoodia gordonii diet pills you feel full so you don’t have the "urge to splurge." Instead, you might be just fine eating an apple or some other sensible snack.
If you decide to try hoodia gordonii diet pills, make sure you continue to eat regular, healthy meals and snacks and drink plenty of water as it will also decrease your thirst as well.
Finally, there are no known side effects of hoodia gordonii – so far. It is a relatively new diet supplement and doesn’t have a long track record so no one can say conclusively that it is 100% safe for long-term use. The only side effect I’ve found during my research is some have reported minor upset stomach when taking them. Other than that, there are no hoodia gordonii side effects to be concerned about at this time.
I’ve provided a link below to more information on hoodia if you’re interested.
Best of luck to you.
